Mo & Krill is an unusual duo: a hulking mole named Mo with a crab named Krill riding on his back. In Deadlock this hero fills the role of a durable melee brawler who grinds opponents down with raw health and constant self-healing. He thrives in short skirmishes and objective fights, where he can dive underground, erupt out of nowhere, and lock down a key target. If you enjoy an aggressive but self-sufficient playstyle, this character will suit you perfectly.
Role and Strengths
Mo & Krill is a bruiser-initiator. His job is not to deal burst damage from afar but to force melee range, drain health from enemies, and deny them clean farm or escapes. Thanks to built-in healing he holds a lane well and rarely needs to back to base. In the late game he becomes a threat to fragile carries: one clean combo from an ambush can pull a gunner out of position and decide the fight.
Abilities and How to Use Them
Scorn is your main source of damage and survivability. It hits an area in front of the hero, deals damage while healing Mo & Krill, and builds up stacks. Try to clip several targets or enemy creeps at once — that keeps your health pool topped up throughout a fight.
Burrow is the hero's signature move. Mo dives underground, becomes a hard target and moves quickly, then surfaces to launch and stun enemies above him. It is an engage, an escape, and a way to bypass a frontline all at once. Use Burrow to get behind an opponent before a fight starts rather than charging in blindly.
Sand Blast releases a wave that slows and hampers targets. This is your control tool: pair it with Burrow so enemies cannot break distance, and fire it at fleeing opponents to chase them down and finish the kill.
Ultimate and Key Combos
The ultimate grabs the nearest enemy, immobilizes them, and drains their health into Mo & Krill over several seconds. It is a full lockdown: the caught target cannot move, attack, or use most abilities. The ideal combo looks like this — surface from Burrow behind the enemy, launch them, apply Sand Blast for the slow, and immediately ult the priority target. While your allies clean up the rest, you digest the most dangerous opponent and heal yourself in the process.
Build and Tips
For items, lean into survivability and spirit power: extra health, armor, and upgrades that boost ability damage and healing. Do not waste your ultimate on the first enemy you see — save it for an opposing carry or a hero you need to remove from the fight. Remember that you are most dangerous not in a clean shootout but in a close-range melee scrum: the tighter the brawl, the more targets Scorn clips and the higher your sustain. Play from ambushes, keep your allies close, and force fights where the enemy cannot keep their distance.
