Deadlock for Dummies is a quality of life mod that helps new players learn the map and match timeline. It adds a tunnel overlay to the minimap showing where Rem tunnels connect (toggled with M) and with opacity adjusted using Plus (+). It also plays short voice lines at key moments in the match (camps and boxes spawning, bridge buffs, walker and guardian resistance drops, midboss and soul urn, late game trooper changes) with matching on screen captions to ensure the reminder gets through.
Open the in game menu by pressing N or L and then hold tab to interact with it. It has four tabs: "Spawn Times" lists when each objective first appears, "Respawn Times" lists recurring intervals, "Enable/Disable" turns individual voice lines on or off, and Settings has a master toggle, a captions toggle, a five level volume cycle, a next up display, and a testing panel for previewing clips.
